My baby girl is 15 months today. Not so much a baby anymore - which makes me a little sad. It is easy to look at her and see the little girl that she is quickly becoming.
This one is ALL girl - as in the girliest girl you can imagine. She walks around with her little purse hanging off of her arm and collects various "treasures" - so darn cute. She also has adopted on of my scarves to drape around her neck - she then proceeds to tilt her head back and to the side all the while grinning and doing what can only be her version of batting her eyes. Cracks me up.
She is very opinionated and is not afraid to let you know what she thinks. She has her definite likes and dislikes. She absolutely LOVES her doggies and gets so excited when they actually hold still long enough for her to pet them. On walks she is constantly pointing out all the dogs in sight. She waves to everyone, smiling and batting her eyes when they wave back; already "flirting" with the boys (much to daddy's dismay!)
She is a really happy girl - only getting fussy when she is tired. She fights her naps like crazy. The unfortunate thing is that she has taken up hitting, pulling hair, pinching, etc. when she is tired. Not sure exactly what to do about this. Sternly telling her 'no' isn't doing the trick as she thinks this is funny. Any suggestions are welcome!
Since weaning she is FINALLY sleeping through the night! Hooray!! (too bad I have hit pregnancy insomnia!) She still will 'ask' to nurse which makes me sad, but she happily takes her sippy cup of milk instead.
She is finally picking up on all the signing we have been teaching her - she showed no interest before, preferring to point and say "want that" for everything - which she still does, she just signs 'more, please' or whatever along with it.
I have been terrible about getting pictures off the camera and onto the computer, so none to share right now - will try and post some later!
Happy Sunday!

Aww how wonderful that she is such a happy girl!!! And I love that she is so girly! :) That is great that she is using some signs. I have found them so handy with Lids in understanding what she wants. As my husband pointed out the other week, there are times she is upset and we wouldn't know why without signs because she is signing for music!! Who would have thought?! Girl is crazy for music. Isn't 15 months fun?? Minus the tantrums of course! ;)
ReplyDeleteHappy fifteen months to your sweet, happy babe! So wonderful she is sleeping through the night! I bet she is adorable to watch when she breaks out all the girly girl moves. :)
ReplyDeleteI've been thinking about you and hope you are doing well, mama! Xoxox
It is crazy how fast they are growing up! BC personality is shining brighter every day. I especially love watching him explore new things - I swear he spent 20 minutes last night inspecting the vacuum cleaner, pulling the tubes off and then putting them back, finding all of the buttons to push. ML and I just sat ont he couch staring at him - so cool!
